Please note the doors, the barrels are handmade and the oak wood is very resilient. There's no two exactly the same barrels nor two same trees, they have an individual arrangement of boards and have microdamages and imperfections that arose during transport in the distillery, usually the barrels are between 30-70 years old but there are exceptions even around 100 years. I think that everyone who buys a barrel wants to have something unique, not repetitive like furniture from IKEA stores, so if you expect a perfect piece of wood, I think it is not for you, please also pay attention to the door, which is sometimes not perfect due to the construction of the barrel which was not created by artisans to serve as furniture but as a container to store and create good quality alcohol, but I think anyone who likes real wood and wants to add some luxury to their home or garden found a perfect furniture. The top and bottom of the barrel are not always equal. The barrel smells like whiskey, the smell disappears when the barrel is dry, usually after a few weeks or months.
